Evie-isms

1) She consistently falls asleep between 8:30 and 8:45.  This makes me so happy.  Im glad the days of an inconsistent sleep pattern are gone.  It really makes me happy to know that we are getting into a good routine.  Bonus, she will sleep just about anywhere.
2) She has graduated from the baby tub and into the real tub.  She loves to lay on her back and splash the water.
3) She is still a people watcher.  She is so social.  If you smile at her chances are she will smile back and this has made her an instant hit just about everyplace we go.
4) Her favorite toy is still the one she sits underneath.  I don’t know if it is the fact that she can swing at the animals, or if it is the animals she likes.
5) We just back from Utah and she did great on the flight again.  So proud of my little traveler.
6) She still loves mommy the most!
7) She rarely goes poop (TMI) and it makes me nervous so little Miss Evie got her first taste of apple juice to help her go…and she did.
8) She has learned to whine…ugh this one is hard, but it’s better then crying.
9) She loves to be outside laying under the trees.  The girls was spoiled at my parents house where all we did was sit on the grass in the shade.  She loved the leaves swaying in the wind.
10) She has the most toxic gas.  It seriously smells so bad.
11) She likes to sleep on her side.
12) We struggle with naps.  She hates to take them and fights it so bad.  When she does sleep its only for about 30-45 minutes.  Im up for suggestions if you have any!
13) She has the best laugh.  We can get her to laugh pretty good these days.
14) She looks so cute in Gymboree clothes…I love them!

This girls makes me laugh.  I’m so happy to be a mommy, and even more happy to be hers.  We love you Evelyn!
Look at that grass!

Old Mesilla and Youth Conference

It was a beautiful day so Josh and I decided to take Miss Evie to old Mesilla for the first time.  We love this little town and enjoy walking up its quaint streets.  The thing we love to do the most while there is to eat at La Posta.  We had a gift card left over from Dave and Janet so we decided to stop for lunch.  Evie was the hit of the restaurant.  She refused to sit in her carseat so I plopped her on my lap as I ate.  She then talked to everyone in the room.  She jibber jabbered all through lunch and loud at that.  I love this phase she is in.  She loves to talk and I think we are in for some great stories some day.  This weekend I promised Sam Eccles that I would help her with Youth Conference.  Evie was doing great so we thought Josh would babysit and I would go help.  About two hours into it I call josh and here screaming on the other end with Josh saying, “I think you need to come home.”  As soon as I walked in the door Josh handed me Evie and she stopped crying…mommas girl.  What am I going to do?

Memorial Day

We had a great time spending Memorial Day weekend with great friends.  It started out with a bbq and movie on the Osborn back lawn.  The BBQ was great and Sandlot was hilarious.  I forgot how funny that movie is.  Evie usually doesn't like others to hold her, but Sam was the exception.  She loved her, and even fell asleep.   The next day we got together with some friends for a picnic.  Josh and I made skewers and headed down for some fun games on the Rosemont field.  The boys found great entertainment in trying to toss a wheel onto the goal post.  Entertained them for quiet awhile.

The Masters

Evie and Josh watching the Masters on Sunday.  Poor McKelson 2nd for the 6th time.  Evie loves watching tv and will contort and bend her body in every imaginable way to see it.  It makes me laugh at how far she will go to get a glimpse of it.  We could be in for some serious trouble.
