Christmas Adventures 2014

This year Josh was on his elective rotation during the month of December.  We usually don't see him...ever, but we really lucked out during the holidays.  The first stop on our christmas agenda was to the Festival of Trees.  I have only been to the Festival of Trees in St. George and heard that the one in SLC was amazing.  It delivered in every way.  Evelyn got her nails and face painted for the first time...and loved it.  She and Liv oooooeed and awwwed over all of the trees.  I can't believe some of the work and effort put into the display.
Liv had to get her face painted first to show Evelyn that it is not scary :)

Evelyn let a complete stranger paint her nails.  I was shocked!  She probably looked at her nails 20 times, then proceeded to smile and said pretty.  Turns our my child will be your BFF if you paint her nails :)

Santa's littlest and cutest elves.

On the news and all over Facebook we had heard about this tree in Draper that was covered in thousands of lights.  People said it was amazing, so we added it to our list and picked a night to go.  You could see the tree from miles away.  It was spectacular.  Evelyn had a great time running around in the light of the tree and I had a great time getting hot chocolate afterward.

This year we didn't do Santa because I already knew what the outcome would be.  Maybe if I brought some nail polish for him to use he would have had a fighting chance.
