Thanksgiving 2014

All year we were unsure what are Thanksgiving plans were going to be.  With Josh's Transitional Year schedule we were not guaranteed any holiday time off.  Telling family members to hold off on any kind of plans were not fair so we just were planning on doing our own thing...cafe rio or cereal haha depending on his schedule.  I didn't like the thought of not having this day with josh.  SO with those plans in mind we went into the holiday season.   Well, 2 days before Thanksgiving Josh received notice that his resident was going to give him Thursday off.  We were both thrilled and stunned.  We quickly made a call to my parents, who were going to Heber with my bro and his wife, to see if we could crash the party.  It was a great day, that almost didn't happen.

My family doesn't really do a traditional Thanksiving.  One year my mom mentioned that she cooks all day and cleans all day for one meal, then went to bed exhausted.  It didn't seem right.  So we have the tradition of eating out.  It really is the best of both worlds.  You get delicious food without the cleanup or prep.  This year we ate at the Zermatt Resort in Heber.  It was amazingly delicious.  We were joined by Skyler, Ashlin and her family.

Hanging with the parents :)

Evelyn has been in the snow before, but no she was too young to understand.  This year it is clear she is going to love the snow.  It is a good thing because Minnesota is going to be full of snow.

The only decent family picture we have been able to get all year.

There was a tree in our banquet room.  Evelyn couldn't help but redecorate it for them.  I'm just happy they ornaments were plastic.  Poor Owen was so concerned that she was playing with the ornaments.

Her latest thing is to "climb" up mommy and daddy.  She thinks it is so funny and will laugh and laugh.

Brave girl, too brave.

Before...

After
It was such a fun day full of amazing food and family!
